The ACT, American College Test, is a national standardized test designed to assess students knowledge of English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. The test consists of four subject tests with a total of 215 multiple choice questions and a 40-minute writing test. The ACT is accepted at all four-year colleges in the United States.
Our ACT prep classes are designed to prepare students for the four subjects on the exam and to give them the strategies they need to succeed. Classes are offered in both the fall and the winter. For students who are taking both the ACT and the SAT, we offer an ACT add on class as well. Classes will target a specific test date.
Please check each class schedule as the pre- or post-test or the make-up class may not be on the same day of the week as the regular class. Please note that each course has a make-up class scheduled. This class will ONLY meet if a prior class is cancelled. Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on the website and families will receive an email. If St. John’s is closed, any afternoon ACT Prep classes will automatically be cancelled for that day.
