Swimming is one of the best sports for children to learn at a young age. This is a fun, engaging activity that develops their physical stamina and sharpens their mental concentration. It appeals to children of all ages, whether you kids are new to swimming or already have some experience in the past. Either way, they would make great candidates for the year-round swimming school at EAGLES/EDGE.

In this swimming program, your child will be provided with expert instructions that allow them to progress quickly. They will learn how to swim by developing proper techniques and perfecting their form in the water. In addition, they will learn about safety guidelines from our qualified swimming instructors. The goal is to teach the kids transferrable skills that they can carry over to any swimming pool in the future.

If you are interested in learning more, here are the five main benefits of swimming school when your kids enroll at EAGLES/EDGE:

Benefit #1: Learn how to swim

Benefit #1: Learn how to swim

An important benefit of swimming school is that your kids will learn how to swim properly. Some parents try to teach the kids on their own, but swimming lessons require a lot of time, patience, and expertise. Unless you are a professional swimming instructor yourself, you may not know all the necessary techniques and safety rules. As a result, your child may only gain a limited understanding without the professional guidance.

With swimming lessons, kids will learn different techniques and develop their skills in a safe, nurturing environment. They will be coached closely by the experienced and passionate instructors at EAGLES/EDGE. Plus, your kids will meet new friends who share the same enthusiasm for swimming. This comraderie can be a huge source of encouragement as your kids improve their swimming skills.

If your child is aged between 3 and 6 years old, you can enroll them in the Level 1 swimming lessons. During these classes, the kids will be trained in how to enter and exit the water safely. In subsequent lessons, the curriculum will cover different swimming techniques, such as learning how to float, change directions, and submerge in the water.

Benefit #2: Evaluation report on how to become a better swimmer

Benefit #2: Evaluation report on how to become a better swimmer

Swimming school is the most suitable place for children to improve their skills in the water and become a better swimmer. Since these swimming lessons are continuous, you can monitor the long-term progress of the training. Your kids will be able to set their own swimming goals, assisted by the EAGLES/EDGE instructors in every lesson. The instructors will provide useful feedback to help the kids improve their techniques.

At EAGLES/EDGE, young swimmers will receive regular evaluation reports on their progress made. The reports will be conducted in a supportive tone, informing the kids of their strengths and the areas where they could focus on more. The objective is to establish a current benchmark and an aspirational goal. Based on the reports, kids will feel more motivated to keep practicing and improve their skills as a swimmer.

Benefit #3: Gain swimming techniques & new skills

Benefit #3: Gain swimming techniques & new skills

The EAGLES/EDGE swim school is available for young swimmers aged between 3 and 15 years old. When students first enroll in the program, they will be placed in the right classes based on their age and experience. Since the swimmers share a similar proficiency in each class, the lessons are tailored to their skill level. This enables a comfortable learning environment, where new swimming skills are developed at a productive pace.

In every lesson, your kids will improve their comfort and confidence in the water. After they mastered the basic techniques, swimmers can advance to the next level of classes. More experienced swimmers will learn how to do flip turns, underwater swimming, and dive into deep water. They will also be trained on the four major strokes: freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke.

For kids who want to become swimming athletes, enrolling in the Pre-Competitive swim program will help them get ready for competitions. If they successfully complete the program, they will be eligible to join the North Shore Swim Club, a competitive swimming team. With the right commitment and lots of practice, your child may embark on an exciting journey across many swimming races!
