Program Overview

With the same focus on habits of excellence that enriches academic life at St. John’s Prep, we offer co-ed courses where students can hone their skills in math; practice writing the college essay; and get ready for college interviews. In addition to academic enrichment courses, our Test Prep Center offers high-quality courses for students applying to middle school, high school, and college. Read on for course descriptions.

College Interview and Resume Building Workshop

Learn to interview for college admissions nd create a working resume in a relaxed and supportive environment with Nancy Sacco of the School Counseling department. Open to both girls and boys at the high school level. Open to the public!

Get Ready for Algebra 1 (2nd Course)

For middle school students who want to strengthen their critical math skills

Geometry

This course offers a full year of geometry for the student who wishes to advance to algebra 2 in the fall.

Algebra 2/Trigonometry

This course is designed to complete a full year Algebra II/Trigonometry class. Students must be recommended for the course by their current math teacher.

College Application Essay Writing Workshop

This course is designed for incoming seniors, especially those who plan to apply early to colleges and would like to get a head start on the application process.
