Brian St. Pierre '98

Football Coach


A 1998 Prep graduate, Brian St. Pierre captained and led the 1997 football team to the Division I State Championship. Also in 1997, he was named Massachusetts and New England Gatorade Player of the Year. In addition, St. Pierre was a Super Prep All-American selection. 

St. Pierre went on to play quarterback at Boston College from 1992-2002. He graduated as the third all-time leading passer in BC history. St. Pierre was a captain and a Scanlan award winner. In 2002, he was the Motor City Bowl MVP. St. Pierre was also an all Big East selection. 

In 2003, St. Pierre was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a member of the 2008 NFC West Champion Arizona Cardinals. Playing eight seasons in the NFL, St. Pierre was named a game captain four different times with two different teams. 

In 2014, St. Pierre became the varsity head coach at St. John’s Prep. In 2014 and 2018, he led St. John’s to two North Finals appearances. And in 2018, he led St. John’s to the Division I State Championship. Also in 2018, St. Pierre was named Salem News and Lynn Item Coach of the Year. Over 5 years as head coach, St. Pierre compiled a 39-17 record.
